Berann's Himalayan panoramas, painted for the National Geographic Society in the 1960s and early 1970s, include his famous Mount Everest view (1963) and the Nepal Himal / Khumbu panorama. These works brought the same meticulous topographic artistry he applied to the Alps to the highest mountains on Earth.
