Switzerland was one of Berann's most prolific regions, with panoramas spanning the Bernese Oberland, Valais, Central Switzerland, Graubünden, Engadin, and Ticino. Starting in the late 1930s, he worked extensively for Swiss mountain railways, tourism offices, and publishers. Notable commissions include the Jungfrau region, the Grande Dixence dam, and countless ski resort panoramas that helped define the visual identity of Swiss Alpine tourism.
